Canisius University Academic Services provides academic, personal andcareer support programs that foster the total development for the student-athletes. A comprehensive program on life skills provides student-athletes with educational experiences. Service programs preparing students for the demands of a well-balanced lifestyle are also provided. Academic Services for Student-Athletes offers the guidance and direction needed to prepare student-athletes for success beyond graduation.

Academic Services is located in the KAC, including the Koessler Academic Success Center (above) for student use.

Canisius Academic Highlights 
• The Canisius athletic department saw 19 of its 20 varsity programs post a team grade point average of 3.30 or better during the 2023 spring session
• Eleven teams posted a team GPA of 3.40 or higher, while the school's 382 student-athletes combined to post a department grade point average of 3.41 for the term
• The most recent semester saw 61 student-athletes earn a perfect 4.0 grade point average. Those 61 student-athletes were part of a group of 313 Canisius student-athletes to record a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better, representing 82.0 percent of the College's student-athlete population.
• Last November, the NCAA released its annual Graduation Success Rate (GSR) data for incoming student-athletes from 2012-16. Canisius' 97 percent GSR, representing incoming student-athletes from 2012-16, matched the school record established in the 2020 report and equaled by last season's total. The announcement also represented the fifth straight year that the College's athletic department has either matched or improved upon its graduation success rate from the previous report.
• The data also showed that 15 of the Canisius' 16 varsity programs posted a GSR score of 90 or higher while a total of 12 Canisius programs recorded perfect 100 percent graduation rates: men's cross country/track, golf, hockey, men's swimming and diving, men's soccer, women's basketball, women's cross country/track, rowing, women's lacrosse, women's soccer, women's swimming and diving and volleyball.
