2023-24 • GRADUATE SEASON
Game-by-Game Statistics
• Played in one game, at Syracuse on Nov. 8, and suffered a season-ending knee injury after playing just 2:31.
BEFORE CANISIUS
• Joins the Canisius program after earning his undergraduate degree from Georgia State in the summer of 2023.
• Played 45 career games for the Panthers, while missing the entire 2020-21 and 2021-22 seasons due to injury.
• After missing two seasons due to an injury, Jones III played in 13 games during the 2022-23 campaign, where he averaged 3.1 points and 3.0 rebounds per contest. He recorded a double-double in Georgia State’s win over Toccoa Falls with 18 points and 10 rebounds, and he also grabbed a career-high 14 boards at Marshall on Jan. 28, 2023.
• As a freshman in 2019-20, he played in all 32 games for Georgia State, where he made 23 starts. That year, he was good for 3.5 points and 3.5 rebounds per game while shooting 50.0 percent (43-for-86) from the field in 14.9 minutes per outing.
• Prior to his time at Georgia State, Jones III played at Orangeville Prep in Mono, Ontario, where he started 19 games and helped the team go 18-1 overall en route to being named the No. 1 prep school team in Canada for the 2018-19 season.
• He averaged 11.2 points, 8.2 rebounds and 2.0 blocks per game that year and ended up earning 2019 BioSteel All-Canadian honors and National Prep School Invitational All-Tournament Team recognition at the No. 1 prep tournament in the country. He also garnered the Orangeville Prep Most Improved Player award.
PERSONAL
• The son of Donna and Joe Jones.
• Has three siblings - Greg, Jordan and Dominique.
• His brother Greg played at Ohio State and was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2007 NBA Draft by the Portland Trailblazers. He is currently serves as the director of basketball operations for the men's basketball program at Butler.
• His father, Joe, played basketball at Fairmont, and his aunt, Dorothy, played basketball at Louisville. She was inducted into the Greater Buffalo Sports Hall of Fame in 2019.
• Earned his undergraduate degree in criminal justice from Georgia State in the summer of 2023. He is currently pursuing his master's degree in sport administration at Canisius.
