Aleysha Castanon enters her first year as a manager for the women’s basketball program. Prior to Canisius, Bechtel played a year of basketball of Onondaga Community College where she would average 5.7 points and amass a shooting percentage of .360. Bechtel graduated from West Genesee High School in 2019 where she played varsity basketball for three years.
 
A basketball coach at XGEN, Bechtel is currently a junior at the university and majoring in sports management.
