Ben DiStasio

As an External Affairs Graduate Assistant in the Canisius Athletic Department, Ben DiStasio spent his initial year as a GA working closely with Ticket Manager, Todd Hummel in the ticket office. There, he assisted with the selling of single-game and season tickets for Canisius Men's and Women's Basketball as well as Men's Ice Hockey and Men's Lacrosse. Additionally, Ben oversaw and managed the Jr. Griffs Club and organized the Independent Health Kid's Day. The Kid's Day event saw over 1,400 young students from 10+ different schools across Western New York.

Currently in his second year, Ben has moved on from ticketing and is now working closely with both the Canisius Men's and Women's Basketball programs. In this new role, he oversees and organizes all in-game marketing efforts for the Canisius basketball programs. Along with that, DiStasio works closely with his supervisors in enhancing the game-day experience for students and fans of Canisius.

Beyond the Canisius University Campus, Ben has spent the last year six years working with the Buffalo Bills. During the first five years, he worked as a Guest Services Ambassador, providing fans with exceptional service. Ben's commitment landed him an internship at the Buffalo Bills with the Events and Experience department. He worked as an intern during the 2022 and 2023 Buffalo Bills training camps at St. John Fisher University in Pittsford, NY. In this role, DiStasio was able to work closely with the Events and Experience staff as well as other departments, gaining valuable insights into the behind-the-scenes operations of a professional football team. Currently, Ben is a game-day intern for the Bills, where he works exclusively during games and contributes part-time to the Events and Experience department.

Ben earned his Bachelor's degree in Sport Management from Canisius in 2022 and is set to graduate with his Master's in Sport Administration in 2024.
