Elijah Lugo is entering his first year as a part of the Canisius athletics department staff, working as a graduate assistant in the external affairs department.
In his role, Lugo will be working on promoting various Canisius teams’ games and promotional events to students across campus.
Lugo worked as an intern with the external affairs department during the 2022-2023 year. He also worked the 2021-22 and 2022-23 MAAC Tournament in Atlantic City, N.J. Lugo was also a member of the men’s club rugby team, serving as the vice president during the 2022 season.
Lugo earned his undergraduate degree in sports management in 2023 from Canisius and will be pursuing his masters in sports administration from the university.
