Vinnie Christiano

Vinnie Christiano III enters his second-year as a graduate assistant in the digital media department, where he assists with ESPN broadcasts and content creation. Some of his responsibilities include shooting and editing video and audio for online content, as well as operating a camera, producing motion graphics, controlling replay and appearing as a play-by-play or color commentator on broadcasts. 
 
Christiano graduated from Canisius in 2022 after completing an undergraduate degree in both journalism, with a concentration in sports broadcasting and communications, with a concentration in media studies.
 
During his time as an undergrad, Christiano completed internships with Buffalo Rising, editing video and podcasts for their social media, as well as Trainwreck Sports, where he still contributes regularly to their content creation on all social media platforms. 
 
Outside of Canisius, Christiano has worked over the past two years as the head of production and broadcast for his alma mater, St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute in Tonawanda, N.Y. There, he coordinates, directs and produces the broadcasts of seven of the school's 12 varsity sports while also mentoring current St. Joe's students. 
 
In his free time, the Town of Tonawanda, N.Y., native is a race car driver, and can be found in the cockpit of the #3 Englewood Collision Motorsports TQ-Midget at many racetracks in the Northeast. The third-generation driver is also a volunteer firefighter, and is the current Vice-President and Public Information Officer of the Ellwood Volunteer Fire Company.Â
