Indoor Track & Field Continue Their Season at the SPIRE Open

• The men's and women's indoor track teams return to action Saturday at the SPIRE Open in Geneva, Ohio.
• Canisius opened their indoor season last weekend in the Utica Winter Opener at Todd and Jen Hutton Sports and Recreation Center in Utica, N.Y.
• On the women's side, two school records were broken. Senior Maura Jordan won the 200-meter race with a time of 26:84, while senior Stephanie Seyfang won the 60m hurdles with a time of 9.97 breaking her own record by seven seconds.
• For the Canisius men, Ronan McDonald gave the Griffs their best finish of second in the 800-meter race with a time of 2:00.10.
• Last year at the SPIRE Open, Braden Tent and Jordan both broke school records. Tent in the men's 600-meter race, and Jordan in the women's 400-meter dash.
• Canisius is back in action Jan. 26-27 in the Penn State National at the Multi-Sport Facility & Horace Ashenfelter III Indoor Track in University Park, Pa.
