Outdoor Track and Field Open Their Season at the Raleigh Relays and SUNY Geneseo

• The men's and women's outdoor track team officially gets the 2024 season underway this weekend with appearances in the Raleigh Relays in Raleigh, N.C. hosted by NC State and the Geneseo Early Season Invitational in Geneseo, N.Y.
• Last season in Raleigh, Tom Appenheimer competed in the 10,000-meter race while Andrew Perreault took part in the 1,500-meter race, and on the women's side Olivia Moran competed in the 5,000-meter race.
• The Griffs piled up a plethora of top-10 finishes at Geneseo last year, highlighted by a pair of third-place finishes by Moran in the 1,500-meter race, and Maura Jordan in the 400-meter race.
• The men's side was highlighted by a third-place finish by Appenheimer in the men's 1,500-meter race and a second-place finish from Perreault in the 3,000-meter steeple chase.

Up Next
The Golden Griffins head to Rochester, N.Y. for the U of R Invitational April, 6. The first event of the meet is scheduled to begin at noon.
