Golf Sits in Seventh After First Day at Southern Invitational

The Canisius golf team sits in seventh-place after the first two rounds of the 2024 Southern Invitational, played Monday at The Falls Club in Pam Beach, Fla. The Golden Griffins posted a two-round team score of 616.

Junior Ryan Edholm is tied for 26th in the field after he shot 71-79 - 150 in the first two rounds. Edholm's opening-round score of 71 marks the eighth time this season where he has finished a round at even-par or better. Freshman Alex Schickling sits in 35th on the leaderboard after he carded a two-round tally of 154, highlighted by his 76 in the second round.

FAU leads the team portion of the event after the Owls posted a two-round team score of 554, which is six strokes in front of second-place St. John's. FAU's Max Sturdza leads the individual portion of the tournament with his two-round score of 134, highlighted by his opening-round 64 to start the day.

The third and final round of the 2024 Southern Invitational will tee-off Tuesday morning at 7:40 a.m.
