Golf Closes Out Albarta Coca-Cola Invitational

Junior Ryan Edholm shot a three-over par score of 75 on Monday to earn a tie for 37th in the field as the Golden Griffin golf team completed the second and final round of the 2024 Albarta Coca-Cola Invitational at Northampton Country Club in Easton, Pa.

Edholm's tournament score of 152 made him the top Canisius finisher at the event. Freshman Mikey Takacs and Jake Dantonio finished tied for 44th in the field, as both players shot 76 on Monday to close out the tournament with a two-round tally of 153.

As a team, the Griffs posted a team score of 305 on Monday to finish tied for 12th in the two-day event with a score of 614. Lehigh won the team title of the tournament, which was hosted by Lafaytte, with a 36-hole team score of 572.

Canisius will return to the course on Friday as the team takes part in the 2024 MAAC Men's Golf Championship at Disney's Palm Course in Lake Buena Vista, Fla.
