1982-'83 Women's Basketball Team
• The first Canisius women's basketball team to earn a berth in a NCAA Tournament, advancing to the Elite 8 of the 1983 Division II national tournament.
• The team's 28-5 record is tops for wins during a season for the program, highlighted by a 15-game winning streak.
• The team finished the season ranked No. 8 in the NCAA, marking the only time in Canisius women's basketball history a team has been ranked nationally.
• Additionally, the team captured championships at the Upstate New York Conference going 6-0, the NYSAIWA Tournament, EAIWA Regionals, and the Lady Griff Invitational Tournament.
