• Throughout his four years, he was among the top ten finishers in 12 of 14 non-national competitions
• Participated twice in the NCAA Regional Competition, and recorded his best time of 32:28 as a sophomore
• Was a member of the distance medley relay team during the 1985-86 season, when they posted a time of 10:19.20, which set a school record
