• Was a two-sport varsity student-athlete in his time at the College, playing both basketball and baseball.
• Played 70 career basketball games from 1960-63, where he tallied 1,017 points and 695 career rebounds.
• His best season came in 1961-62, when the forward averaged 15.7 points and 11.4 rebounds per game in 21 contests.
• Was a senior captain for the 1963 Canisius men's basketball team that lost to Providence in the 1963 NIT Championship game at Madison Square Garden. In that game, Chester scored 21 points as the Griffs lost to the Friars by a final score of 81-66.
