• Three-sport star at Canisius, playing forward in basketball, outfielder in baseball and a triple threat halfback in football
• Scored 12 points in seven football games during the 1934 season, second on the team in scoring, only behind Hall of Famer Frank Rustich
• A great runner, superb punter and good passer, along with being a good defensive player, he was also an above average student
• In 1936, his #15 jersey was retired in recognition of his accomplishments to the program
• Senior captain of the football team
