Randy Mearns, Class of 1992- Men's Lacrosse

  • Three-year midfielder and also a member of the first Men's Lacrosse team in 1990
  • Earned records in single season points in 1990 with 94, and ranks second in career points (190) and sixth in career goals (95)
  • His 95 career assists are the most all-time by a lacrosse player while his 49 helpers during the 1990 campaign are the second-most in a single season in program history
  • Won the MILL World Championship with the Buffalo Bandits in 1993, and also helped lead the Rochester Knighthawks to four championship appearances in 1996, 1997, 1999, and 2000
  • Head coach of the men's lacrosse program from 1999 to 2016.
  • Led program to its first winning season in 2001 and first MAAC tournament appearance in 2003.
  • In 2008, Mearns led the Golden Griffins to a school-record 10 wins.  The Griffs tied for the MAAC regular season title, won the school's first-ever tournament championship, and qualified for their first-ever NCAA Tournament bid
  • Also guided program to second MAAC Tournament Championship and NCAA Tournament appearance in 2012 
  • First former men's lacrosse player inducted in the Hall of Fame
