  • During his coaching tenure, he led the Golden Griffins to three of their greatest seasons in program history.
  • Finished 18-7 in 1954-55 and advanced to the NCAA Regionals.
  • The next year, the team finished with a record of 19-7 and knocked off No. 2 North Carolina State in the regionals in a four-time overtime win, although would ultimately fall to Temple in the regional final.
  • Curran's 1957 team, with an overall record of 22-6, was the greatest record in program history at the time he was inducted.
  • Was the 33rd member of the men's basketball program, and second basketball coach, inducted in the Hall of Fame.
